CSR: Dressler Group aid

Flood relief after the Ahr flood in 2021
In autumn 2021, DG employees launched the “We help” campaign: almost 500 “time donation” hours were collected in the form of overtime and holidays for colleagues affected by the devastating flood.
Dressler Group doubled the equivalent value of these time donations by making a contribution of almost 10,000 euros. Doing great deeds without big words, standing together and being willing to help – for this we as a company and especially those affected sincerely thank all 42 time donors.

Aid for Ukraine refugees
The war in Ukraine is deeply distressing, and this also goes for numerous DG employees with acquaintances, friends and relatives in the war zone. Therefore, since March 2022, our staff have been supporting people in need on the ground by collecting aid supplies and donations in kind via the organisation Lohmar hilft.

But that’s not all: on the initiative of Ukrainian DG employees, victims they know personally are to be accommodated in the house “Am Hambuch 13” on the company premises for an estimated three years. During this period, DG will rent the building, which will be completed in July 2022, to the city of Meckenheim. Up to ten residential units on four floors are currently being created through a complete core renovation, as well as a small front garden and a communal vegetable garden for all future residents.
This complex building project could only be completed thanks to the help of numerous local contractors, who even postponed other jobs to carry out this extensive work.

PS: For several years now, Dressler Group has chosen to have several hundred trees planted at the foot of the Eifel mountains near the company’s headquarters each Christmas, rather than sending gifts to customers and business partners. In this way, DG wants to give a literal expression to its local roots in Meckenheim and its continuous pursuit of sustainable growth, as a company and as the owning family. We will continue this tradition in the years to come.
