Ethics & Compliance
We never settle for standard
This claim is reflected in our certifications, which go beyond industry standards. We promise the highest professional competence, outstanding performance, absolute confidentiality and continuous further development – and it’s a promise we keep. For instance, by achieving extra high material efficiency. This enables us to make optimum use of energy and raw materials while minimising waste. Our thorough documentation of all process steps is another example. Meticulous knowledge management not only ensures that results are reproducible at any time, it also significantly accelerates the development of new processes.
Our mission statement
The inner compass
The mission statement encapsulates what has enabled us to succeed to date and sets our direction for the future. The triad of vision, mission and values reflects our stability.
Our mission statement
The inner compass: vision, mission, values
When flying a plane, a compass is absolutely essential to navigate to the destination. The same principle applies to companies: here the mission statement functions as an (inner) compass. We asked ourselves what has made Dressler Group what it is today over the past four decades, with all its strengths and weaknesses, and whether that is enough to enable us to maintain and build upon our leading position in the future.
Our mission statement comprises our vision, mission and values – always on the proviso that these are put into practice. Every day we need to check where it is bringing real benefits and where we can make adjustments. We keep the following aspects in mind at all times:
Emphasising each individual’s personal responsibility
Treating one another with respect
Striving to continuously improve ourselves
Consistently orienting our thoughts and actions to the interests of our customers
Our standards
Quality in action
The quintessential Dressler Group standard: always go the extra mile.
We can only deliver the finest quality because we never settle for second best. And our customers, notably those in sensitive sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical technology, dental materials and cosmetics, are impressed by our ability to go the extra mile. These sectors have extremely high standards in terms of quality, purity, safety, documentation and adherence to specifications.
Our environmental awareness
Never stop improving
At first glance, environmental protection may appear to be purely a cost factor. It’s worth taking a closer look.
Efficiency
The natural way to go green.
At Dressler, it’s in our DNA to strive for improvement in performance and efficiency. We view this as a problem for today, tomorrow and further into the future. It also applies to our products and services and the possibilities they bring. Boosting efficiency invariably means helping to protect the environment and conserve resources.
We reduce water and electricity requirements by continuously improving our facilities. Our fleet of industrial trucks runs on electricity. We meet part of our electricity requirement by generating our own green energy. We also operate our own mechanical sewage treatment plant.
We minimise waste and dust generation from the earliest stage in our processes.
We optimise the degree of recycling and the utilisation of raw materials. Our material efficiency of over 97 percent (i.e. less than three percent waste) is extremely high.
We increase overall efficiency through innovative processes. For example, using integrated processes, we can grind, sieve and remove dust in a single operation, saving both time and energy. And thanks to multi-stage processes in the Technical Centre, we can make optimisations on a small scale that will shape the development of the end product right from the start.
What’s more, with specific grinding and finishing methods we ensure that powders require less cleaning during manufacturing or processing and present no issues in downstream production. This helps to reduce rejects, waste and the number of work steps required. These measures also have a positive effect on the overall energy and waste balance.
Alongside numerous other certifications and standards, Dressler Group companies comply with the ISO 50001 standard for systematic energy management.
Herbert Dressler Foundation
CSR made tangible
In the best family company tradition: we do what’s right, not what comes easy.
In the best family company tradition: we do what’s right, not what comes easy.
Research and development, growth and sustainability run through our veins. Herein lies our motivation for setting up a foundation in the name of our co-founder Herbert Dressler in 2015. The foundation is a concrete expression of our social responsibility. Its aims include supporting young scientists and developing future technologies in collaboration with universities.
The Herbert Dressler Foundation provides funding to working students and diploma students within the group of companies. This has already given rise to a number of master’s and bachelor’s theses.
The foundation has also literally laid down a marker of sustainability – several thousand of them, in fact – by planting this many young oak trees at the foot of the Eifel mountains, just a stone’s throw from our company headquarters in Meckenheim.
